CiteRank

Answer engine optimization tool, private beta

The AEO tool that gets your business cited in AI answers

Be the answer AI gives.

When someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews to recommend a business like yours, CiteRank shows you whether the answer says your name, writes and publishes the article that earns the mention, and keeps a dated record of every answer.

Private beta, by invitation. Request an invite with your website and we email you when a seat opens.

An answer checkExample

Someone asks ChatGPT: “best boutique accounting firm in Austin”

“For a boutique firm in Austin, Harper & Lane is a strong choice. They specialize in small-business tax and publish clear guides on exactly these questions.”

  • ChatGPT Named

The shift

Buyers now ask AI for recommendations

Buyers now ask an assistant before they search, and the answer names two or three businesses. The shift is quiet: nothing in your analytics says the conversation moved.

Buyers ask AI, not Google

The question "who should I hire" now goes to ChatGPT or Perplexity, and the reply names two or three businesses. If yours is not one of them, the visit never happens.

You cannot see whether AI names you

Your analytics look normal while the buying conversation moves inside the assistant. Nothing tells you which names the AI gives instead of yours, or why it picked them.

Trackers show, they do not fix

A report that says you are invisible still leaves the real work: write the content that wins the answer, publish it on schedule, and check again. Why ChatGPT names your competitors.

How it works

How CiteRank works: check, write, publish, re-check

Checking, writing, and re-checking usually live in three tools. CiteRank runs them as one loop.

01

Check

CiteRank asks the engines your buyers' real questions and shows exactly where you are named and where a competitor is named instead.

02

Write

For every question you are missing, it writes an answer-first article in your voice and scores it against six AEO checks.

03

Publish

Approve it and it goes to your site on schedule, through WordPress or a webhook. Nothing ships without your review unless you switch auto-publishing on.

04

Re-check

It asks the same questions again, engine by engine, and shows the movement. Wins stay tracked, gaps go back into the plan.

What you get

  • A score and a five-engine board for 25 questions per brand
  • Up to 30 answer-first articles a month, published to your site
  • A dated record of every answer: who was named, in what order, and which sources were cited
  • A weekly email with your AI visibility, the questions you gained and the articles published

How we're different

One tool for the whole loop

Trackers report, writers draft, agencies do both for a retainer. CiteRank runs the loop from one screen and re-checks every day.

Before you apply

Questions people ask before they apply

What is AEO?

Answer engine optimization (AEO) is the work of making your pages the source an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity or Google AI Overviews quotes when it answers a buyer's question. It rewards direct answers under question-shaped headings, consistent facts about your business across the web, and pages the assistants' crawlers can reach. Those are exactly the pages CiteRank writes for you.

Read the plain-terms guide

Which AI engines does CiteRank check?

ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, checked every day with web search on, against the questions you choose to win. We send only the question, never your name, so the answer is the engine's own and not one steered toward you.

How to check by hand first

Will the writing sound like AI?

No, every article is written from your website's own context, scored against six AEO checks, and run through a voice check that flags AI-sounding phrasing before you approve it. Nothing publishes without your review unless you switch auto-publishing on.

How fast will I see results?

Your check-up, rivals and first articles land on day one, and the first five-engine check runs overnight. Engines have to crawl and index a new page before they can quote it, which takes days to weeks and varies by engine. Nobody controls what a model says, so we do not promise a citation date; the daily checks show every move as it lands.

Can CiteRank guarantee that AI names my business?

No. Nobody controls what a model says, and the sources it cites change from month to month. CiteRank publishes the pages that give an engine something accurate to quote, checks all five engines every day, and keeps a dated record of every answer so you can see what moved.

Do I need to be technical?

No. If you can read a sentence and press approve, you can run CiteRank. Publishing connects to WordPress with an application password, and a signed webhook or pull API covers any other site. Shopify is not supported.

Can I prove what an engine said last month?

Yes. Every check is stored with its date, the engine, whether you were named, your position among the businesses named, the sources the answer cited, and an excerpt of the answer, so you can put March's answer next to today's.

How do I get access to CiteRank?

CiteRank is in private beta and opens by invitation. Request an invite with your website and we will email you when a seat opens. There is nothing to buy yet, and pricing is published when the beta opens to everyone.

What does ChatGPT say about your business today?

Buyers are already asking. The only question is whether it says your name.

Private beta, by invitation only.
